Is It Important To Detox?
So what is the big deal with detox? Since our bodies naturally detoxify every day, why do we need to take outside sources to cleanse our bodies? They’re various reasons why you should artificially detox. If you ever feel full after a hefty meal or you have been eating unhealthy food, you may want to cleanse your body. The reasoning behind this is because you want to rid your body of chemicals and heavy metals partially responsible for aging. It also helps to increase nutrient intake. Think of detoxing like cleaning a filter for your home AC unit or water supply. Naturally, our bodies don’t function very well when they’re loaded with toxins.
Cleansing Your Liver/ Colon
As we all know our body naturally cleanses itself through our colons and livers. It is common for women these days to be putting additional hormones into the system, such as oral contraceptives or hormone replacements. It is also common for the hormones to be synthetic, which are much more difficult for the body to treat. The body is designed to handle the hormones we actually produce ourselves. It is not well equipped to handle synthetic hormones that are introduced on top of our own hormones. With this being said women who take birth control of any form should be looking to detox their bodies.
Benefits For Weight Loss
Toxins affect the body’s natural ability to burn fat, leading to weight gain. Diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure are directly linked to weight issues. Detoxing rids the body of toxins stored in fat cells and increases your metabolism. Eating a diet that is low in fat, high in fiber and full of healthful, natural foods is healthy for anyone. Improved nutrition can increase health and well-being. However, there is no substantial scientific proof that detox diets rid the body of toxins any more effectively than the body’s natural processes.
Environmental toxins are responsible for many cancers, neurological diseases, heart disease, and strokes. Our bodies do have a built-in detox function to deal with these dangers, but those systems are constantly oppressed. Detoxing assists and improves what our bodies are trying to do naturally.
Is There Detox Diets?
Instead of just drinking water and starving yourself for a few days they’re other ways to cleanse your body from toxins. You can start with a regular breakfast rich in vitamin C, orange juice, apple juice etc… Remember anything green gives you energy! You want to be drinking water throughout the day, minimum of a gallon of water a day. For dinner try light soups like homemade chicken stew, miso soup, vegetable soup. Or you can eat a cup of brown rice with chopped vegetables on the side.
