Natural Beauty Hacks
Guys, there are so many things to worry about these days, your beauty regime shouldn’t be one of them! It’s no secret that here at BioTerra Herbs, we LOVE to go au-naturale! So we put together this list of natural beauty hacks to help you ditch the chemicals and embrace the natural awesomeness that you probably already have in your kitchen!
Banana and Egg Hair Treatment
To add some shine back into your hair, this natural hair treatment will do the trick! Mix one egg and one mashed banana then put the paste all over your hair; leave in for 20-30 minutes. Wash it out with your usual hair regimen (you’ll probably only need to use conditioner on your ends) and BAM! Beautiful, shiny hair!
Olive Oil Nail Treatment
All you have to do here is soak your nails in olive oil for 5 minutes. Then just sit back and admire how gorgeous your hands are.
Olive Oil/Sea Salt Body Scrub
This one is a “go-to”! Simply mix a 2:1 ration of olive oil to sea salt. This effective body scrub helps get rid of dead skin cells and detoxifying skin! This natural beauty tip creates soft skin that glows, and it’s so simple!
Apple Cider Vinegar: Shampoo Build up
We’ve all been there; we use too much shampoo and our hair just never seems to be “clean” enough (i.e. greasy parts, too much product in your hair). Well its simple, to eliminate build up from our shampoo, mix ¼ cup of Apple Cider Vinegar with 1 cup of water and use it as you would your normal shampoo, then condition as per usual. This is great to do once a month or so, to get that clean hair!
Coconut Oil Deep Conditioner
Want super hydrated and soft hair, like you see in the commercials? All you have to do is massage coconut oil into your scalp and through the rest of your hair. Leave it in for an hour or two, and just go about your business. After you are done “soaking,” simply wash your hair out with shampoo (no need for conditioner unless you have really long hair) and be ready to “ooh and ahh” at your gorgeous locks!
Dry Brushing for Better Skin
Dry brushing is a simply detoxification process for your body that emphasizes on the skin. It stimulates a number of your organs through a gentle massage. It may sound totally strange to just rub your skin with bristles, but seriously, you need to try it! Dry brushing also helps the lymphatic system, eliminates dead skin cells, and strengthens skin, can eliminate cellulite (!!), and help stimulate hormones. It’s super simple.
Here’s what you do… Begin with a natural bristle brush (preferably one with a long handle, so you can reach your back) and brush your skin, lightly, every morning before you jump in the shower. You always want to start out (arms, legs) and move in towards your heart. You will notice a fresh glow to your skin!
