Say, you are 132 pounds and burn 30 calories in 30 minutes of sitting or resting. Multiply it by 1.5 and 2 to get an estimate of how many calories you will burn in a half hour session of sauna.
However, don’t be fooled! As stated earlier, this is not an efficient way to lose weight. It should be used as an “enhancer” to lose weight, not the main way to do so!

Sauna sessions can be heavy on the body and mind. They will detox your system and can help you lose weight but only if you do it moderately and in combination with exercise and good diet.
Sauna weight loss on its own is definitely a myth and won’t happen for you. Combine some strength conditioning or light weight lifting and then you can begin to truly see the pounds shed off!
