What Is The Role Of The Urinary System?
The urinary system is made up of 4 main functions (kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra) that are responsible for removing waste from the body and passes it through and out of the body as urine. The kidneys removes waste products and water from the blood and passes through the ureters, which drains into the bladder. Then the bladder store the urine until it is ready to leave the body.
The Four Main Functions Of The Urinary System:
The kidneys filter out the waste products that come from food, water, and body tissues out of the bloodstream and turns it into urine.
A pair of tubes that run out of the kidneys and down to the bladder. Once the waste is filtered out of the blood and becomes urine, it is sent to the ureters to be sent to the bladder.

When the bladder relaxes and releases urine, it passes through the urethra, which is a tube located at the bottom of the bladder to the exterior of the body.
