Why am I always sick?
Do you suffer from a terribly weak immune system? Do you often find yourself wondering “Why am I always sick?” If this sounds like you, then keep on reading sista! In this blog post we’re going to define immunity, explore some of the reasons why you’re getting sick so much, and then propose a solution!
What is immunity?
Your immunity is your body’s ability to resist infection. Your body fights off infections with the help of our favorite blood protein…. Antibodies! Antibodies hate toxins. In fact, toxins (such as bacteria and viruses) are antibodies’ worst enemies.
To put it mathematically, Immunity = Antibodies – Toxins.
Reasons we get sick
We get sick when bacteria and viruses enter our bodies, and our immune system isn’t able to fight them off. These yucky foreign substances enter our bodies through the air we breathe, the things we put into our mouths (food, fingers, etc.), and cuts on our bodies.
Basically, almost any opening on your body is susceptible to harmful and unwanted substances. Here are a few more specific ways you can become under the weather. Be careful not to do these things, and you should get sick a lot less often.
Not washing your hands
We use our manos A LOT throughout the day. From opening doors to texting on our phones, our hands touch a lot of stuff. And most of these things aren’t clean. Then we go and rub our eyes or put food in our mouths without washing our hands first. Unless you use hand sanitizer frequently, you’re practically asking to get sick when you do these things.
Not drinking enough water
Did you know that the “drink 8 glasses of water a day” bit of advice isn’t actually supported by hard evidence? The truth is, men are actually supposed to drink 3 liters of fluids per day, and women should be drinking about 2 liters per day. Drinking the right amount of water will help you stay healthy, free of cooties, and you will stop asking yourself, “Why am I always sick?”!
Not eating a balanced diet
If you’re not eating a balanced diet that’s full of the necessary nutrients and vitamins your body needs, you’ll be more likely to get sick often. Fruits and veggies are especially important to include in your daily food intake. There are even some specific ones that are supposed immune-boosters, like blueberries and oranges.

Not getting enough sleep
The human body should have at least 7 hours of sleep per night to remain healthy (and fully functional). Research has shown that people who get less than 6 hours a night are 4 times more likely to catch a cold. Some doctors even recommend 8 or 9 hours depending on the person!
How to help stop getting sick
To keep your immune system on its A-game, you need to feed it the nutrients it needs to thrive. Immune supplements are a great way to do this. There are many immune support supplements available that help to enhance the body’s ability to respond to infections.
We recommend using a supplement that contains all natural ingredients like Immunity… zap. This supplement is a blend of nature’s superheroes: immune boosting herbs like astragalus. It’s also vegan, gluten free, and it doesn’t have any nasty GMOs in it.
